Feed My People Food Bank - New Building

Feed My People is moving to 2610 Alpine Road, Eau Claire. The new location will provide convenient access to highways linking us to the 63 agencies we serve in west central Wisconsin.

Feed My People - New Building Map

Our efforts to provide more food to more people have resulted in space and efficiency issues at our current warehouse. The new location will bring much needed space so Feed My People can continue to fight hunger in west central Wisconsin.

Meet Need

The new facility will have triple the space to accept more donated food, keep up with demand, and provide more food per person in poverty. The additional space also will improve efficiency in the warehouse.

Provide Healthier Mix of Product

FMP's fresh produce and dairy program began in 2005 with the acquisition of a refrigerated truck. Program growth has been stalled due to lack of cooler space. A larger cooler will remove that barrier.

Address Food Supply

The donated food that FMP receives reflects industry trends, such as an increase in frozen foods. More cold storage will allow FMP to handle a larger quantity and variety of available food.

Expand Weekend Kids' Meal Program

A designated space for storage and assembly will allow FMP to expand the Weekend Kids' Meals program, that provides food for two breakfasts and two lunches when school meals are not available.

Testimonial

--------------------------------------

“As one who has been delivering food on behalf of Feed My People for nearly three years, I have been impressed with the increasing growth rate of orders and volume of food delivered. Our trucks are almost filled to capacity on each run. The lines of people waiting to pick up food grow.

The present building is filled to the brim with goods so that at times it is difficult to maneuver the pallet movers. Furthermore, the freezer space is inadequate for the huge volume of frozen goods which come to Feed My People for distribution. I am amazed at how well Feed My People has done handling the growth.”
