As the only food bank in west central Wisconsin, Feed My People distributes 150,000+ pounds of food a week and 7.5 million pounds a year to local agencies. We are a cost effective way to provide pantries, community tables, and shelters enough food so thousands of people can be helped each month.
The ALICE Report was developed by the United Way to give an identity and voice to the many Wisconsin families who are working but still struggling to make ends meet. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed describes hardworking families working to achieve financial stability for themselves and their children. Many times these families are overlooked, because the majority of these individuals do not fall below the Federal Poverty Line which has not been updated since 1974. However, even thought these families have income they still do not earn enough to afford the 5 basic necessities of housing, child care, food, transportation and healthcare.
