As the only food bank in west central Wisconsin, Feed My People distributes 7.3 million pounds a year to local agencies. We are a cost effective way to provide pantries, community tables, and shelters enough food so thousands of people can be helped each month.
Bringing hope one meal at a time
This is a joyful time of the year, but also a difficult time of the year. Winter weather brings a lot of challenges, and for families already struggling, it's difficult to keep food on the table. But thanks to you and your generosity, help is there.
On Monday and Tuesday, special deliveries of food were delivered thanks to WWIB sponsors and listeners who pitched in to help six local pantries stock up. Pictured above are Bridge to Hope staff and volunteers unloading their donation from WWIB in Menomonie.
We hosted three Pop-Up Food Pantries in Eau Claire, Fall Creek and Fairchild on Wednesday and Thursday. 550 people received groceries, including 193 kids.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Weekend Kids' Meals volunteers completed a "big pack" to make sure kids had additional food during the upcoming winter break.
