Volunteering at the food bank is considered an essential function, and we value your support more than ever (note that this text should be bold). Thank you to everyone who has reached out to volunteer. Working together, we are continuing to meet the critical need for meals that has increased due to the coronavirus.
Throughout the duration of the statewide Safer-at-Home order, and until group gatherings are allowed again, all group shifts are canceled. Volunteer tasks have been divided into stations around the food bank and vary day-to-day. Projects include emergency food box packing, labeling food items, packing Weekend Kids' Meals, and working in the clean room packing bulk product. Individual volunteers will be placed into groups of 3-4 people per work station while observing social distancing measures. Additionally, we are unable to accept volunteers under the age of 13 during this time.
We value your safety and health. Please do not volunteer if you are sick, especially with cold or flu symptoms including fever and/or a cough. If you have been in contact with individuals with COVID-19 or who are displaying similar symptoms, please do not join volunteer shifts.
Thank you. Together we are fueling communities in west central Wisconsin, feeding kids, and fighting hunger.
