The Kitchen Sink Podcast

Hunger is messy. It takes all of us to do the dishes.

Food is something that brings us all together.

Conversation begins at the table, but the real conversation moves after the meal to the kitchen sink. Feed My People's The Kitchen Sink podcast began in 2024 and is gathering stories from our community and beyond about what brings us all to the messy kitchen sink after a good meal. The more dishes in the sink, the more people were fed.

Kia Xiong-Yang and Mang Yang

Episode 5 • April 14, 2024

Kia is a board member with Feed My People and she brings along her husband to discuss their story of growing up along with their involvement in the organization.  Both immigrated to the United States as young children, so they faced challenges growing up, but today Eau Claire has become a great home.

We learn how the role of food, or the lack thereof, and its impacts on the community drew their attention.
