As the only food bank in west central Wisconsin, Feed My People distributes 7.3 million pounds a year to local agencies. We are a cost effective way to provide pantries, community tables, and shelters enough food so thousands of people can be helped each month.

Fill a Backpack, Feed a Child

Nearly 2,000 preschool, elementary, middle and high school students at 38 sites in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls receive special bags from Feed My People every Friday to ensure they have food over the weekend. The meal bags contain food for four meals, including two pieces of fresh fruit, fresh carrots, and a high protein item.

"I decided to stop counting down the days until summer break because my students were no longer getting excited. They were sad because the end of the school year meant the end of consistent meals." - J.G., Area Teacher

Many weather-related school and business closures have affected meal services for students and their families. Strained budgets and decreased access to food means there is a great need to ensure these food resources continue.

You can sponsor a local student today! $85 dollars is all it costs for a child to receive meal bags all school year. We still have 582 students looking for a sponsor this year. Becoming a sponsor is easy, just note on the memo line of your check or the comment box of your online donation "for Weekend Kids' Meal."

The 2018-2019 Weekend Kids' Meal program is generously supported by contributions from Pain Clinic of Northwestern WI, local Rotary Clubs, Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Nordson Corporation Foundation, area churches and many generous individuals in our community.

Thank you to all who make this program possible.
