2024 Organization of the Year: CVTC
Since 2004, Feed My People (FMP) and its board of directors have selected a standout organization or...
Since 2001, Empty Bowls has brought together locally crafted bowls, food, community members, and a determination to take a bite out of local hunger. Every ticket purchase supports the work of Feed My People Food Bank (FMP) 's mission to create equitable access to food for healthier communities in West Central Wisconsin.
"One bowl may not seem like a lot, but when they're all stacked together, the impact is huge," shared Susie Haugley, communications manager at FMP. Last year, the event raised enough funds for well over 200,000 meals.
Empty Bowls is bringing back its festival flair through an indoor and outdoor event on May 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside features include six different food trucks, outdoor games, and live acoustic music. Each food truck will have a signature dish that can be redeemed with an Empty Bowls food ticket.
Inside the food bank, guests can browse hundreds of beautiful, handcrafted bowls donated by local artists and students. Each ceramic or wooden bowl guests take home will remind them of their donation's impact on the community.
Additionally, a silent auction will be available online and at the event. Online bidding closes at noon on May 17. Packages will include local experiences, artwork, bowl sets, and more. Tours of the food bank are also available.
Food trucks include Big Papa BBQ, Island Vibe, Live Great Food, Mi Mì Café, Ramone's Ice Cream, and Smackdaddy's Gourmet Grub.
Empty Bowls would not be possible without the valued support of our sponsors. BMO Harris Bank and Market & Johnson are this year's top festival sponsors.
